Purti sugar mill is situated at Khursapar (Bela) village near about 60 KM from Nagpur. This complex has been started within the leadership of Shri. Nitinji Gadkari, Chairman, who had laid the foundation stone of this multiproduct complex, which in the years to come would be the ideal example for whole Indian sugar industry sector.
Since 2007, Purti has partnered with PPDMS to streamline the management and operations of the 24.5MW electricity power plant powered by cane material (bagasse). PPDMS has not only streamlined the processes but also transformed the electricity generation unit into a profitable business. After this success, Reliance industries have recently signed an electricity purchase agreement of 220MW with Purti.
PPDMS is guiding the Purti Sugar Mills in realizing their power generation goals.
This is Ideal Energy Projects Ltd (IEPL)’s 270MW maiden project for which about 101 hectares of land has been acquired. PPDMS has helped IEPL to achieve industrial clearances, financial closure, vendor selection and evaluation in less than 10 months. After extensive evaluation and negotiations of the bids from the power plant manufacturers, the main plant package for the thermal power plant project is awarded to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL). IEPL executives are confident and assured of the progress of the project. In the IEPL CEOs own words,
“We are hopeful of having the commercial operation date (COD) by December 2011”.
